The Fatherhood Task Force of South Florida and the University of Miami, School of Education & Human Development recognized 31 fathers during the “2014 Involved Father” Award Celebration at UM Alumni Center on May 17, 2014 supported by The Children’s Trust. Their schools, family and friends nominated them as role models for their commitment to the lives of children in support of their education and well-being.

In support of Fathers in Education Day, May 14th and Fathers in Action & Advocacy Week, May 12-16th, Ira Leesfield, Leesfield Family Foundation, far left at podium, and David Lawrence, Jr., CEO,¬† The Children’s Movement, received special awards.
